Melissa and Tim meet about 26 years ago! When Tim used to ride his bike to Melissa's house (5 miles away) before summer football practice when he was in 5th and she in 6th grade. Their friendship continued to grow, and they both cheered each other on in everything they did. From School, Band, and Sports. Tim loved to come to the Shields Fest to dunk Melissa, and the other cheerleaders, in the dunk tank. Melissa cheered him on during Football and Basketball Season. Although they never dated in high school officially, their first date was on 4/12/2003, Melissa's junior Prom! After high school, they maintained their friendship although they ended up going to different colleges and living many miles away from each other. Despite this, Melissa and Tim finally started dating May 10, 2014, even though they were 1,300 miles apart. One year of LONG distance, several trips to Michigan and Florida, and even one trip to Las Vegas together, Melissa finally moved back to Michigan from Florida, and they finally were able to move in with each other April 25, 2015. Melissa had a son, Kyle, who was now 4.5 that Tim took under his wing immediately. After several years of Kyle begging for a sibling, he got his wish and Melissa and Tim welcomed Lucas into the world in February 2020. Melissa and Tim, love to travel and making memories with the kids. After years of badgering by friends and family, Tim finally purposed to Melissa on 9/16/2023 during a beautiful sunset on the beach in St. Lucia.
