Sayulita is known for having a great easy surf break, boards can easily be rented throughout the town.
There are so many adorable shops through outtown. Start with Sayulita’s riverside “hippie market” full of colorful, handmade goods and crafts. Beautiful art studios and murals are located throughout the town.
The name, Playa los Muertos, translates to "beach of the dead" since you need to walk through a festive and colorful cemetery to access. Pay $15 for chair and umbrella rentals and have fresh squeezed margs and guacamole delivered to you. This is one of our favorite beaches, definitely worth a trip!
Their main thing to get here are the steak tacos, but EVERYTHING on the menu is great. They're famous for burritos with the shell made of fried cheese rather than tortillas and they bring out 3 trays of salsa, beans, fire grilled onions, and pico de gallo for you to top your dishes with.
This restaurant is right in the middle of the town and offers a great view of the famous flag-filled street. They offer breakfast/lunch options along with great smoothies, coffees and chocolate dipped bananas!

Sick of Mexican? La Rustica is an 'upscale' Italian eatery with delicious food and even better cocktails. Prices are closer to American prices but worth the trip. Steve and I stopped here when while we were craving greens, we each got our own delicious salad and split an entrée - will repeat.
