Currently there is Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) application which needs to be submitted and approved to enter Europe (EU). If entering Europe through the United Kingdom, a second ETA application will need to be approved in addition to the EU application. Additional information and the website for both can be found under the Travel tab for both requirements. Italy does not have any specific requirements if you are staying less than 90 days.
