How We Met

Love at First Bite

One day, Amanda and some friends went on an adventure to find a grill They searched all day until they found the perfect spot to chill. Once they starting cooking, a friend got a call Someone saw our grilling efforts and wanted to join us all. As this special someone walked up, he saw quite a sight. A ravenous girl eating a skewered 8oz steak in pure delight... and it was true love at first bite! 🥩💍🥩

How He Asked

The Big Story behind the Big Question

Jordan had planned months ahead of time to propose while Amanda was completing her medical rotations in Denver, Colorado. He had picked a weekend when some of our closest friends would be able to fly to Denver and join in on the special day. He had her grandmother's ring, a location, the people, and even someone to take pictures. But there were some things out of his control. In true Denver fashion, a winter storm only meant to be a "dusting" turned into 10+ inches in just a few hours. With canceled flights, unsafe roads, and no sleep... Jordan was able to get to Denver despite it all. With less than 3 hours of sleep, he drove to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to set up the rest of his plan. Many Many hours later, and unbeknownst to Amanda, she walked the steps of Red Rocks. She was enjoying the fresh snow and beautiful clear day with her friends when Jordan walked out onto the stage of the Amphitheatre. After almost knocking him down in excitement, he decided to keep it short and sweet to avoid any chances of messing things up. With a mixture of laughing and crying, she said yes. He asked for her hand, she said "which one?!" Despite everything, it worked out and yes, she got the ring on the right (left) hand.
