Mission San Xavier del Bac, often called the "White Dove of the Desert," is a historic Spanish Catholic mission located about 10 miles south of downtown Tucson on the Tohono O'odham Nation San Xavier Indian Reservation. Founded in 1692 by Jesuit missionary Father Eusebio Francisco Kino, the current church was constructed between 1783 and 1797 under Franciscan direction, making it the oldest European structure in Arizona. Renowned for its stunning Spanish Colonial architecture, the mission remains an active parish and a significant cultural and spiritual center for the local community.

Mission Garden in Tucson, Arizona, is a living agricultural museum that showcases over 4,000 years of continuous farming history in the Santa Cruz River basin. Situated on the site of the original Mission San Agustín del Tucson, the garden features heritage fruit trees, traditional heirloom crops, and edible native plants cultivated by diverse cultures, including the Hohokam, Tohono O’odham, Spanish colonials, Mexicans, Chinese, and African Americans.
