Question

Why can’t everyone invited to the wedding weekend attend the ceremony?

Answer

We are so incredibly grateful to celebrate this special time with our closest family and friends! Our ceremony will be an intimate gathering in Forsyth Park, and to keep things simple, we’ve had to limit the number of guests in attendance. This allows us to avoid requiring a permit from the city while still creating a meaningful and personal moment. The number of spots we’ve reserved for your party is noted on your RSVP card, but as responses come in, we may be able to accommodate additional guests at the ceremony. Regardless, we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you throughout the weekend. Your presence at our welcome party, dinner, and other festivities means the world to us, and we’re so excited to share this joyous occasion together!

Where should we stay?

Answer

Wherever you’d like! Our guests have booked a mix of hotels and local Airbnbs, so there’s no one “right” place to stay. We do have a section on our wedding website with local hotel deals, but we encourage you to stay wherever you feel most comfortable. Whether you prefer a charming boutique hotel, a historic inn, or a cozy Airbnb, Savannah has plenty of great options!

Is there a dress code?

Come as you are! Since our ceremony will be outside, we do recommend comfortable shoes.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we’ve chosen to make our wedding weekend a kid-free event so everyone can relax and celebrate with us. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a night off!

What if we can’t make it in town in time for the welcome party at Churchill’s?

Answer

No worries at all! The welcome party is simply a casual get-together for everyone arriving for the wedding weekend—a chance to mingle, share a drink with us, and kick off the celebrations. We’d love for you to stop by, even just for a bit, but if your travel plans don’t align or you’d rather explore Savannah on your own, we completely understand and support that. No matter what, we’re just excited to celebrate with you throughout the weekend!

Where is “Under the Oaks” in Forsyth Park?

Answer

We will be sending out a detailed map closer to the wedding day, but if you’re looking at a map now, our ceremony will take place under the oak trees near the Fragrant Garden in Forsyth Park.

How long will plus-ones be separated from their partner during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony itself will be short and sweet, lasting no more than 20 minutes. Afterward, we’ll take some photos with our ceremony guests, which should take no more than an hour in total. Your plus-one won’t be apart from you for long, and they’re welcome to explore the beautiful Forsyth Park or relax nearby while we say “I do.” We’ll all be reunited soon to continue the celebrations together!

What should we expect at the reception dinner?

Answer

We are hosting a private sit-down dinner at Vic’s on the River immediately following the ceremony. Guests can begin arriving at the restaurant starting at 6 PM, and we expect to begin dinner service around 7 PM. This will be a relaxed and intimate celebration, giving us the perfect opportunity to spend time with each of you after we say “I do.” There won’t be a formal program—just good food, good drinks, great company, and plenty of love and laughter as we celebrate together!

Are there any plans after dinner?

Answer

Absolutely! We’d love to keep the festivities going after dinner. Anyone who wants to join us for a cocktail or two is more than welcome! We’ll decide on the details closer to the big day and will share the plan with everyone then. Whether you join us for a nightcap or head off to relax, we’re just excited to celebrate with you!
