FAQs

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

We’ll be coming from LA, and for guests traveling from farther away, we recommend flying into San Diego and making the scenic 1-hour and 15-minute drive to Julian. Having a car is definitely handy for exploring town, grabbing groceries, or just cruising through the beautiful mountain roads. Once you're at Sacred Mountain, we’ve got carts to help you get around the property, and there’s plenty of on-site parking for everyone.

Question

How should we dress?

Answer

It's outdoorsy during the day and garden party cocktail at night! Be aware that it might get chilly at night so prep for that. We also may do some pickleball or fun activities so any active clothes would be a great choice. Here is dress code inspo for the wedding: https://pin.it/7wlN8UBIH

Question

What’s the weather like?

Answer

Julian can be warm during the day and pretty cool at night, even in spring and summer. Bring layers and comfortable shoes for walking on natural terrain during the day.

Question

What food options are there?

Answer

Julian may be famous for its apple pie, but there’s plenty more to eat while you're here! Need supplies? Julian Market & Deli (2202 Main St) and Jack’s Grocery (2117 Main St) have the basics. If you’re looking for wine, beer, or spirits, Mountain Spirits Liquor (2120 Main St) has you covered. For dining out, Julian has plenty of great spots. Jeremy’s on the Hill and Farmhouse 78 are our favorite for farm-to-table fare, Romano’s Restaurant serves up delicious Italian classics, and of course, you can’t leave without a slice (or two) of Mom’s Pie House or Julian Pie Company!

Question

How Far from town is the venue?

Answer

Sacred Mountain is just a 5-minute drive from downtown Julian, so you’re never far from great food, local wine tasting, and those famous pies. You’ll have plenty of options!

Question

Can I bring along the children?

Answer

While we LOVE your adorable offspring- we would love an adult oriented weekend. Please bring photos to share though we can wait to see how cute and grown up they are!

Question

Are Ubers/Lyfts available in Julian?

Answer

Julian is pretty rural, so rideshare options can be very limited. If you plan on heading into town for food or drinks, having a designated driver or pre-arranged transportation is a good idea.

Question

Local Tips

Answer

Julian is a small town so cell service can be spotty. Be sure to download directions ahead of time. The town is at a higher elevation, so stay hydrated!
