This is unbelievably cheesy, but it was a love at first sight for me! I had met Austin when I was a sophomore in college at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ at a Dchi party. I thought he was the CUTEST thing ever and so charming and funny- I instantly fell in love. We didn't speak again until about a year later. My friend Mackenzie came home to our Mountain View dorm to tell me the ultimate news she had discovered. I had talked to all my girlfriends about Austin that year so they definitely knew I had a major crush. She told me that she was talking to one of our Dchi friends that was suggesting I take Austin to our date party. She replied saying "Sarah Wilson thinks Austin Gemmell is so cute" (to which I was mortified when she was telling me the story) and he instantly texted him relaying the message. Austin had then replied "there is a God" haha and had felt the same over the past year! I screamed and jumped up and down with excitement at the thought of Austin Gemmell also having a crush on me. Austin took me on our first date 2 weeks later to Outback Steakhouse (LOL) and the rest is history!
I first saw her across the room at a house party. She drowned out every other person in that room. She was gorgeous. I approached her and her friends and tried to at least get her name. She was quiet, so I did not want to press my luck. Upon receiving her name, I did what every college student would do and looked her up on FaceBook. I was almost immediately heartbroken when I saw that she was already in a relationship. But, from that point, I would tell Nic Stephens on a weekly basis how much I was crushing on her. I would point her out at every intramural game, every greek life meeting, and every party that I saw her at. "Oh man, there's Sarah Wilson!" After awhile, I did not believe I had a chance with her. Until one day, out of the blue, Will O'Daly texts me, stating "Sarah Wilson thinks you're really cute." And all I could text him back was "there is a god." I immediately coordinated a party with Will to meet her at. Prior to that party, I took an extra three shots of Evans William (finest college whiskey). But, when I saw her, we started talking like we had known each other for years. The connection was so genuine, and her personality and humor only strengthened my feelings for her. We later had our first date at Outback Steakhouse (another fine college restaurant), and I knew from that point forward that this was the woman that I wanted to be with. Even after I graduated college (and refused to leave), my decision to stay in Flagstaff was motivated by my desire to be with her. And once we officially started dating, I further knew that this was the woman that I wanted to spend my life with. Since that point, every day has been a privilege, especially with someone who knows how to brighten every single one of your days
