"We were like 7 and 10 years old and one afternoon we were walking through the sticks and all of a sudden we saw a fawn that looked like a lawn ornament that Mom might like. So we picked it up. It made the most awful sound and we dropped it and ran to get Mom. It was a live, newly born deer; it's hooves were still soft. Anyway, it scared us to death."- Scott

Emily is Lauren's younger sister! "The best times and worst times with Lauren were sharing a room with her as kids. There were good times like staying up so late giggling that Dad would get out of bed and yell down the vent to go to sleep. Then there were not so good times like Lauren leaning over the top bunk of our bunk bed, throwing up on me, and going right back to sleep. It was never a dull moment in our bedroom!" -Emily

Kylen is Lauren's cousin and life long friend! "Lauren has always been more than just a cousin to me, growing up she was more like my sister as well as my best friend. I would always look forward to the days I got to go over to her house and we would play with her Barbie's together. Every time there would be a beautiful wedding ceremony officiated by Lauren, so needless to say, I have been looking forward to her own wedding for years now. Lauren has always been a cornerstone in my life and is always there when I need her. Her dedication and work ethic is so inspiring- I can't wait to see her take on her next role as a wife. James is a very lucky man! (p.s. He is pretty great, too.)"

This was the start of our incredible friend group and a lifelong friendship. Lauren is a true testimony to what hard work and dedication is. From working her way through both college and grad school to completing law school and being a kick-butt lawyer. She inspires me every day to become a stronger and better person. James has been there for us through so many trying times, from breakups to calling you to say he is taking you to a movie so that you can vent about your job. James is always there for you, no matter what. Lauren and James have always been the “Mom and Dad” of our group and I couldn’t be more honored to be spending this special day with you two!"
