Our families have known each other for years! Jason and I have been friends for FOURTEEN years now. Growing up he always hung out with my family and I have always had a HUGE crush on him! When i was in first grade, Jason was working for daddy and stopped by the house. I remember giving him a note that read “I like you.” We laugh about memories of our childhood to this day! As we got older, we became best friends. We told each other EVERYTHING! Hardest part was when he told me he liked his friend from high school! My heart was crushed. Luckily for me, nothing ever came from it and i was back in business! When I started working for my daddy at SCA Construction, I always tried working on Jason’s jobs. Of course, daddy’s little girl got what she wanted! A couple weeks before we started dating, it was a rainy Sunday. We were just sitting in his truck talking away. And we told each other we had a crush on someone. For the next two weeks we described who it was without telling each other! {Both of us honestly didn’t think it was each other!} May 28th, 2013 Jason asked me to be his girlfriend! BUT we were a secret! We didn’t think anyone would approve because of the age difference, and because he was so close to my family. About a year later I had a girls day with my momma. We were talking about me not having a boyfriend and the kind of guy I wanted to date {because I didn’t want her to know it was Jason} and just like the saying goes: “moms know everything...” Momma asked me, “why don’t you date Jason?” I spilled my guts to her about the past amazing year and she just responded, “yah I already knew.” From there it has only gone up! We have grown in so many ways and learned how to be together and who we are personally. We are so thankful and blessed that God put us together. The love we share is abundant. We can not wait for God’s plan for us to unfold and prosper through us! Thank you all so much for having a part in our story and help us kick off our marriage!
