Beau and I met on a dating app in early 2017 while I was in Knoxville visiting UT's MBA program on a random Saturday. It was such a small window for us to “cross paths"...I was in town for less than 8 hours and while at the Downtown Grill I decided to get on Bumble and saw this handsome guy rocking a mustache and bow tie, and luckily he couldn’t resist a girl in a Detroit jersey and we matched right away. We exchanged numbers and talked about our mutual love for Lions football and The Killers, but as these things tend to do, we lost touch after a few weeks. Fast forward a couple of months and Beau reached out. I had recently moved from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC and wasn't looking to start anything, but I am so thankful that Beau somehow knew we were meant to be together. He continued to reach out consistently for almost a YEAR until the timing was finally right for me and as he put it that day, I "got a wild hair" and drove to Charlotte, NC where he had just moved for work and we went on our first date March 2nd, 2018. We had some pretty medicore Mexican food and I was too nervous to tell Beau I hated the Dos Equis Amber he ordered for us, but we never stopped laughing or ran out of things to talk about, and Beau later said that he knew I was 'The One' as soon as we left the restaurant. I met his parents the next day (wild, I know) and that was the start of the most fun and special ride through life together...several moves, new jobs, and countless travels across the country (and Beau’s first trip out of the US!) and after 18 months of living 3 hours apart, we moved to Virginia Beach together for a promotion for Beau and a new job for me, and we have just bought our first home. It was here that Beau asked me to spend forever with him! We are so thrilled and blessed to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with the people we love and to become Mr. & Mrs. Savage!
