Many of you may know that Luke and Alyssa met at work. But do any of you know how it all happened? Luke started working at Cummins in 2015. Luke’s first night on third shift is when he met Alyssa. She walked her way down to the floor to meet him and a few other new folks. The moment she walked up and introduced herself is when he knew he liked her. As time went on they grew to be friends. It was a little over a year later that Alyssa finally found out about Luke’s little secret. In fact, it was a friend of theirs that told Alyssa he would get Luke to take her out on a date. She didn’t believe it until it finally happened. That first date went very well. From there they had their ups and downs until they finally decided to make it work and officially become a couple on August 20, 2016.

On May 23, 2019, Luke and Alyssa were on their way to take their yearly vacation. This years destination, Letchworth State Park. They were staying at a bed and breakfast right in Mount Morris, NY at the Brick Inn. Once they arrived they toured the building and brought their belongings to their room. Alyssa and Luke started to unpack their things. His stuff on one side of the room, hers on the other. As Alyssa was shuffling through her suitcase she heard a small thud on the floor. She didn’t think much of it. As she slowly turned around she was amazed to see Luke on one knee with a ring at hand. He had the biggest smile on his face as he asked her to marry him. Out of excitement she said yes!
