On September 14, 2017 Daniel and Jessica met in Boston while Dan was working on his PhD at Harvard. Jess had a cold, but refused to cancel a date with such a hunk (this would never happen in a post-covid world). Dan thought she was cute, but weird because she paid for their entire bill while he was in the bathroom (she'd taken a lot of cold medicine). They eventually fell in love and after months of deliberation decided they should be together forever. Even if that meant willingly entering into a long-distance relationship. In 2022, after years of traveling back and forth between London and Boston, they decided enough was enough and it was time to get married. Dan tried to formally propose at one of Jessica's favorite places, Shakespeare's Globe, but she knew how much he hated public displays like that and stopped him mid-getting down on one knee. But they were engaged nonetheless. Finally in June 2024, Dan moved back to the US and they could fully be together. Tired of waiting for so long to celebrate their love, Jessica and Daniel eloped at Boston City Hall on September 13, 2024; one day before the seventh anniversary of their first date. But there is more to come! Dan and Jess still want to revel in their love with all their family and friends. So a wedding celebration of some kind is in the works. They can't wait to commentate their marriage with friends and family from both sides of the pond here in Boston! More info on that to come.
