We met through a mutual friend at a movie theater and didn't speak until a couple years later when we met again through a mutual friend. We had some small talk here and there and got to know a little bit more about each other. Once we learned more about each other, we became friends. From there grew a connection we didn't expect. Neither one of us thought we'd steal each other's hearts when we first met. But they say things happen for a reason.
It all started with a ride from the airport. Nothing crazy - just someone doing someone else a favor and giving them a ride. However, from that ride grew some deep conversation, uncontrollable laughter, fun Disney trips, and new experiences. Our friendship expanded into a relationship. A relationship neither one of us could've seen coming.
On a day that I thought would be just like any other day, we went to his father's house for what I believed was a formal birthday dinner for a family member. When he told me they were entering the community and he wanted to go and take pictures before they arrived, I didn't think much of it. I agreed and we stepped outside. His father had asked me for some help inside and upon walking outside, I saw him. Down on one knee. Waiting for me. I asked him what we were doing, and he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. No other answer, could've popped in my mind, and through all the tears and ugly crying (behind my hands of course) I SAID YES!
