Meags and I first became friends during my sophomore year of high school. She was sweet and funny and beautiful, which made me extremely nervous. I tried talking to her but she didn’t seem interested so I figured she was way out of my league. Little did I know, she thought I was pretty cute too but we ended up going through high school as just friends. Fast forward a few years and she invited our mutual friend to Mason’s birthday bash in Lake Tahoe. I received an invite as well, assuming I was simply a +1. After a few minutes of being there, Myrna approached me and said “I hear you have the hots for my daughter!” She kept talking but I wasn’t paying any attention as my mind started racing. I thought, “How would she know that? Why would she say that? MEAGAN MUST THINK I’M CUTE TOO!” Thanks to my outstanding deductive reasoning skills and unexpected boost in confidence, I made another attempt to woo my girl. She couldn’t resist my charm this time around and we ended up falling in love. Fast forward to now, and we only grow more in love with each other each day. I can’t believe I get to marry my sweet and beautiful best friend, the one that almost got away.

Nicky will always tell you I played 'hard to get' at first. The truth is, I didn't want it to go to his head when I finally admitted to his insanely good looks! It wasn't until that trip to Tahoe that we both took the chance on admitting we liked each other, and it wasn't long after that weekend that we became inseparable! We began our long distance relationship after that summer, while Nick went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and I went to Boulder in Colorado. You know what they say..."distance makes the heart grow fonder!" That definitely rang true for us, because every time we would visit each other I'd get butterflies in my stomach thinking about seeing his face again! Right after college we decided to tour Europe together. We went straight from long distance to being with each other 24/7 for almost 7 weeks. I know it's hard to believe, but I never got sick of him!! All these years later, and he is 100% still my absolute favorite person to be with, and I'm so excited I get to do this life with him forever by my side!
