We're married!

You may wonder why we chose a seemingly random Monday as our wedding day. Well, this day holds a very special place in my heart due to some very special people. March 20th is the wedding date of my maternal grandma and grandpa. Nick and Helene Nickles. Back when we were first planning our wedding in 2020 we picked a nice September day for the good weather. Now, fast forward three years. We have all gone through some of the most traumatic and life-changing experiences of our lives. We have all lost people we love. After my grandma passed in 2020, just 1 month after my initial wedding date, I was looking for a way to feel closer to her. To honor her and my grandpa now that they couldn't be present with us. Getting married on their wedding day gives me the feeling of being closer to them. I think they would be proud to know we made this decision and I hope they were with us in spirit that day. Thank you all so much for keeping us in your minds on March 20th. We hope to one day be able to celebrate with you all again! - Heather
