We first met through mutual friends in Buffalo, NY in 2011. Another year passed before we reconnected at a friend's Halloween party (again, in Buffalo). By early 2013, we had fallen in love. There was only one problem: Kyle attended college in Buffalo and Hayley in Geneseo. We dated long-distance for 2 years until we moved into our first apartment in Troy, NY. Since then, we have traveled to 6 countries, moved 3 times, adopted a dog, and grown stronger together.

On December 14, 2017, Kyle made reservations at one of our favorite restaurants in Troy, NY, Peck's Arcade. We sat at the chef's table and had a wonderful meal before heading to Brown's Brewing Co. for a drink. During our walk home, Kyle suggested going inside Franklin Plaza to see the view from their rooftop deck. It was there, while looking out at one of our favorite cities, that Kyle proposed and Hayley quickly said yes!
