Some love stories begin with fireworks. Ours began with roommates. We met during our sophomore year of college, introduced by our roommates who had no idea they were setting something into motion. From the very first night, something clicked. Conversation flowed easily, laughter came naturally, and we quickly discovered just how much we had in common. Not long after, we realized we were even taking some of the same classes. As the semester unfolded, so did our friendship. We began crossing paths more often by studying together, sharing laughter, and supporting each other through the ups and downs of college life. With each conversation, we uncovered more about each other’s hearts, hopes, and quirks. What started as a simple connection gradually blossomed into a deep and genuine friendship, built on mutual respect, encouragement, and a growing curiosity about one another. We found ourselves talking every single day, and as our bond continued to strengthen, it became clear that what we had was more than friendship. When we decided to take that next step, it felt less like a leap and more like a natural progression, as if God had been writing our story all along. We believe that love isn’t just a feeling but it’s a promise, a journey, and above all, a reflection of something divine. As our relationship deepened, we learned that real love is not just about shared laughter or romantic moments — though we’ve been blessed with many of those. It’s about sacrifice, forgiveness, and choosing each other daily, even when it’s hard. That’s why the Scripture Ephesians 5:25–33 has become the heart of our relationship: "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her..." To us this verse isn’t just a model for marriage but it’s our daily goal. It reminds us that love is strongest when it gives, when it serves, and when it lifts the other up in faith and respect. In our time together, we’ve grown not only in affection, but in our calling to help each other become the people God created us to be. As we prepare for marriage, we don’t just see it as a joyful day, but as the beginning of a sacred covenant — one where we commit to mirror Christ’s love for His Church through how we love, serve, and walk with each other every day. Thank you for being part of our story. Please continue to pray for us as we begin this new chapter, seeking to reflect a love that is holy, enduring, and rooted in God.
