One of Em's three older sisters, Allie has been the crisis manager extraordinaire. Holding Em's hand when she didn't know how to comfort herself, getting things rolling when Em got stuck, and passionately pursuing joy in every situation. Allie's tenacious spirit and deep love for people along with her hopeful outlook on life have always been an inspiration for Em.

One of Em's three older sisters, Audrey is a pivotal part of the woman Em has become. From literally saving her life at fourteen, to reminding her who she is at eighteen, Audrey has always shown up for Em. Currently living far from us all, Audrey has made the distance seem tiny through the whole wedding planning process. Watch out for her goofy remarks and her deep seated need for a good time, this girl puts a good time to shame with her wit and charm alone.
Janny Copeland

One of Em's three older sisters, Janny has been a special person in making Em as cool as she is. Janny was the guinea pig for everything from marriage to babies, starting a career to how to handle the hard stuff. Janny spent years teaching Em how to acknowledge feelings and continue living a beautiful life at the same time.

Alyssa is one of Em's closest friends from college. Resident poet, Alyssa has always understood Emily's need for emotional depth and wild creativity. Unwilling to stay one dimensional, Alyssa is a thousand things. Top of her class, extraordinarily creative, a marvelous actress, and a wonderful friend. They say still waters run deep. There is no more true statement here.

Instant friends, the two worked together, ate all the good things together, had wedding meltdowns together, and now Carrisa will do this part with Em too. A fellow type Nine, Carrisa endlessly encourages Em to seek actual peace instead of the feigned stuff. What else is there to say? She gets it.

Took the groom under his wing from the moment they met at 15. Went the extra mile to mentor the lad. Didn't matter if it was a knock on the door in middle of the night or spending playing a game of MTG with the boys; he was there. Anthony is the type of man who every young man needs to help see him to becoming a man. through the years the role Anthony has played in the grooms life has changed and adapted. Now Anthony stands as a colleague, mentor, and life long friend. His presence as best man honors the groom as he symbolically and physically stands by; as he has during the grooms transition between boy to man.

A man who strives constantly to improve his life as well as the lives of others. He is the groups peace keeper. Always approaching two opposing sides with the intention of working things out. As a friend Jared has always been loyal and faithful. In crisis and in peace times Jared has been the bright and joyful man who sees the best in his friends, even when they can't see it in themselves. The groom remembers the: long talks in the bed of his grandpa's truck, saving lives together, and all the times he's spoken into the grooms life. Levi is commonly referred to as a "smufqf" (that's not a typo and the Q is silent) A smufqf is a man who is considered to neither help nor hinder the situation. There is a lot more nuance to that inside joke but basically it means he's weird. in the best of ways. Levi is always a wild card and will often find a way to relate and push your buttons in the same action. As a friend and class clown Levi always preferred to let other speak wisdom into a situation, yet when he spoke his calculated words were all the more meaningful. In all of humanity there has never been another person as unique and amazing as this man when he finds his wife (Wink wink) she will certainly have to be just as amazing and weird. He honors the groom as a unwavering supporter and as his arch-nemesis.

Louie is a gentle and kind man, yet you wouldn't know it based on his burly exterior. He loves his books and strategy games. He has feed the groom so many times that it's an on going joke between them that he's done it more than the grooms own parents. Louie, who also happens to be single, is the type of friend who hold no expectations on people and just loves them for who they are. he honors the groom by bringing his kindness and good stories.

Wolfgang's name is actually Wolfgang, it's German, don't ask about it. Wolfgang is a walking truth detector. Lying to this man is not recommended at all. Wolfgang is willing to confront and be honest with anyone he loves. He chooses his people carefully, but when he does he fights for and with them fiercely. Every group needs exactly one Wolfgang to hang out and call them out when things aren't going well. As the last SINGLE man on this list Wolfgang honors the groom by always being honest and loving the groom regardless of what life brings.
