Wedding Party

Our wedding party! They are so amazing!

Tia Godfrey

Bride

Tia started ballet when she was two years old. She loved it so much not even her poor health could slow her down. She started teaching in Idaho Falls when she was twelve years old, and worked closely with BYU ballroom for many years. Anyone who knows Tia knows her love of coffee. She has been roasting and blending her own beans for about a year and will talk your ear off about her favorite beverage. Tia has two boys, Gavin and Asher, who are wild and spirited. They can't wait to teach Tadhg, their new baby brother, how to be "spirited" too.

Adam Floyd

Groom

From a young age Adam has been interested in medieval history, and that passion led him to find the SCA and has since made many life long friends. Growing up, he spent many hours in his backyard with his brothers, hitting each other with sticks and continues to hit people with sticks to this day. Both of his parents are musicians, as are his brothers, and if you spend any time with Adam you will hear his music too. The Groom can play eight instruments but his favorite is the sax. Adam enjoys painting and can spend hours working on a single piece that is no more then two inches tall. Since joining the SCA, Adam has also taken up the hobby of cheese making, and his cheese is coveted across the known world.

Bruce

Best Man

The Groom has known Bruce for almost sixteen years. They started fighting together in the SCA and Bruce immediately adopted Adam into his household. Bruce and Adam have been working together for the last eight years.

Bug

Matron of Honor

Bug is a long time friend of the Groom and a new friend of the Bride. She has been a medieval reenactor since birth and is a professional baker. She has held the bride's hand through the maze that can be the SCA and has become a dear friend. Bug is preparing the feast and cake that will be served at the reception. if you have dietary concerns or questions regarding the menu please feel free to contact her at Cristareardon@gmail.com

Hayley

Bridesmaid

Hayley and Tia quickly became friends after meeting at a study group a few years ago. She is the Bride's go to confidant. She is the point of contact, or in SCAdian terms, the deputy autocrat. If you have any questions or need help with anything she is your gal!

Lisa

Bridesmaid

Lisa and the Bride have been friends for six years. They met through Tia's brother and immediately hit it off. She is the mother of Jamie, the flower girl, and a wonderful aunt to TIa and Adam's three boys.

David

Groomsman

David, Bruce's son, and met the Groom met roughly at the same time as his father. David and Adam have fought and camped together many times as well as spending many hours snowboarding together.

Cody

Groomsman

Cody has known the Groom for over 10 years. They have camped and snowboarded together many times. Adam officiated Cody's wedding two years ago. The two were roommates for over a year.

Ken

Law Speaker

Ken recruited the Groom into the SCA sixteen years ago. Adam is squired to Ken and the two have worked on many SCA projects together. Ken has been testing Adam's goat cheese and has helped with every aspect of the process for the last six years. Watching the two plot and plan is both exciting and unnerving. If one of them has a harebrained idea, the other will tell them how ridiculous it is and then ask how they can help. The Law Speaker was like the town magistrate, their word is final. If the Law Speaker was not present during the wedding ceremony, it could not proceed. Due to the long friendship between Ken and the Groom, he was honored with this position.

Nikki

Officiant

The minute the Bride started planning her wedding, she knew she wanted Nikki to officiate it. The two have known each other for almost 10 years and Nikki has been a "guide" of sorts for the Bride for almost as long. If Adam had to gain the approval of anyone, besides Tia's mother of course, it was Nikki's.
