We ask guests to arrive at the condos two days before the ceremony on Sunday, 9/13. If you are traveling from the East Coast, you will likely need to fly in on Saturday, 9/12, and spend the night in Hilo/Kona before driving to the condos.
While we’d love to host everyone for the whole weekend, we’re only covering the ceremony and the reception sail (including food and drinks on the boat). Guests are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and transportation between locations.
Yes. Public transportation is very limited in this area, and ride-shares like Uber and Lyft are not widely available. We suggest either renting a car from a company or privately through Turo, or carpooling with other guests. If you’re open to sharing a ride, let us know—we’re happy to help connect folks who want to coordinate.
Our style is laid-back island formal (think breezy sundresses, linen shirts, and sandals that are easy to walk in). The ceremony site is outdoors with uneven ground, so we recommend comfortable shoes. We kindly request that you dress in a manner that complements the landscape. Blue to match the water/sky, Green to match the fauna, Tan/Khaki to match the palm trees, Black to match the beach. Please, no distracting patterns or Hawaiian shirts. Solid colors only :)
Colony One Condos at Sea Mountain. It’s the closest and most affordable option to our ceremony location (~2 minute drive for a sunrise ceremony). If you’re looking for something more upscale, there are luxury accommodations in Volcano Village (~30 minutes away), but keep in mind the early ceremony time and when you would need to leave to make it to our sunrise ceremony on the beach.
This is an adults-only adventure.
