We never expected our last semester of college to be the beginning of forever. From a chance meeting in Athens to the life we’re building together, our story has been filled with laughter, growth, and so much love. We’re so grateful for the people who have walked beside us every step of the way — and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you. We met on August 30th, 2023, during our last semester of undergrad at Ohio University — the kind of timing that feels a little bittersweet in hindsight. We were introduced through a mutual friend, Shelby, in the basement of Stephen’s Bar, a place that had always been a favorite for both of us. Neither of us went into that night looking for anything more than a fun evening out. That first night was easy and unexpected. What started as a quick introduction turned into a long conversation, with Logan slowly stepping forward every time I tried to step back — a small sign of the confidence and persistence I would quickly come to know well. Even then, it was clear this wasn’t going to end as just a passing interaction. When it was time to head home, Logan offered — or rather insisted — on walking me back. The walk was only about ten minutes, but it felt like the start of something much bigger. When we got to my house, I thanked him for walking me home, told him it was nice to meet him, and wished him goodnight. He paused and said, “Well… can I at least get your number?” I smiled, handed him my phone, and the rest is history. We made it official on October 15th, 2023. Starting a relationship during our last semester of college was emotional in its own way, knowing we only had a few short months together before long distance. But in another sense, it felt like our last chance to meet each other at exactly the right time. Those months flew by, and before we knew it, two years had passed. On October 19th, 2025, Logan asked me to marry him — completely catching me off guard. With the help of my maid of honor and best friend, Abby (and a few not-so-subtle hints from me), he planned a proposal that went far beyond anything I could have imagined. We had scheduled a photoshoot with our good friend Kaleigh, something we do often, so nothing felt out of the ordinary. We walked up the hill of the family farm for the shoot — the same place where we hope to build our home one day. There, Kaleigh quietly handed Logan the ring, he got down on one knee, and our forever began. It was the best day ever — well, until our wedding day, of course.
