We met on an online dating app in the fall of 2017. after a few weeks of texting, we made a plan to meet for a musical the day before the date I got really sick so alas the date was canceled. Aidan than decided to take a break from dating after the failed first date, but I would try and continue to be his friend off and on for the next year. Finally when Aidan was ready to pursue a relationship with me in the fall of 2018. I couldn't say no.

Baby Dane's Birthday Party It was my first trip to Paris Illinois ever. I got to the Step station early and no one was outside the building. Then Grace rolled in, and I remember thinking she was more beautiful in person than on any of the dating sites we matched on. Finally we had met officially after months of plans falling through. We walked into the birthday party together. We didn't get a ton of time to talk since there were a ton of her friends there, but I enjoyed just sitting across from her watching how good she was with the little kids that were there. The time went by quickly, and since I didn't want the evening to end quite yet, thankfully she agreed to follow me to a small coffee shop for one of my favorite holiday drinks, hot apple cider with whipped cream and cinnamon. I already knew sitting in my car, after saying goodbye that: "I've just had apple cider with the woman I'm going to marry!" She agreed to a second date, and the rest was history!

It began with Aidan asking me to go get my nails done. then I received a call from my best friend Cindy Fiscus asking if I wanted to get lunch. Unbeknownst to me Aidan had met with the people involved in the proposal at the Step Station in Paris to plan the Scavenger Hunt through a series of locations that were important to one or both of us. I was given a note at each location by a friend or family member that Aidan had written. The first note was given to me by Cindy who, then drove us on the hunt. The first Location was the Step Station in Paris, which where our first date started. My best friend and co-worker Cassie was waiting with a note. From the Step Station I was taken to the Paris Center of Fine Arts where we would have met if I hadn't been sick and met Aidan's best friend Carrie Then to the apartment he lived in in Catlin where we hung out, and had many dinner dates together. Where one of my college friend Nick was waiting for us. The next location was Savoy 16 our favorite movie date night. My sister, Anna and her family were waiting with the final note and the cross necklace I had wanted! Then at last I arrived at my church's sanctuary where Aidan was waiting to proposed to me in the same place we would be getting married a year and a half later. Needless to say I said YES!!
