We met at the University of Tennessee. It was only Emily’s third day on campus—during sorority recruitment—when she ended up at a Pike party at Brad’s house. Brad was two years older and already settled into UTK life, but it was his dog, Copenhagen, who sparked our very first conversation. Emily was feeling homesick and really missing her dog when she walked into the party and saw a dog in the house. She immediately asked, “Whose dog is that?” The answer: Brad’s. That simple moment led to a conversation, then an invite to a Pike date party—and the rest started to fall into place. Since then, we’ve gone from college kids figuring life out to grown-ups building a life we love together. We’ve graduated, added another dog to the family (Henley), bought a new house, and made it a home—which is also where Brad proposed, in our backyard! Now, we’re getting married—and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who’s been part of our story so far. xoxo - B&E
