How we met

From COVID lockdowns to love at first sight!

“It was during the snowy winter nights of December 2020. Coming through the dystopian days of the COVID lockdowns. Incredibly, we happened to be renting office spaces at the same building in Nottingham town centre. It was love at first sight for Chidi, who immediately walked up to Glory, spurred on by a friend on the phone! It was so natural, so pleasant, and so beautiful; we just absolutely enjoyed speaking to each other, and spent so much of the days of that winter together in the office. It was only a matter of time... Indeed, Chidi asked Glory out, and the rest, as they say, is history!”

The Proposal

A horrible dinner date in Matlock!

“Inspired by our shared love for the peaceful outdoors and the immense beauty of nature, we had our proposal at a lovely country suite, with gorgeous glazed-up facades open to the countryside, in a village near the serene Peak District. To Glory, it was supposed to be just a long due weekend away. But this one was threatening to be at least underwhelming. We drove down to Matlock for dinner, but before we got there the heavens opened its floodgates, Chidi was excusing himself a bit too much to answer weird phone calls, and then we had to drive back to our suite as Chidi had forgotten something. In all this Glory was just happy she was with Chidi, and never even so much as complained about anything. We drove back to our suite, and boom, it was all glammed up! Chidi went on his knees...”

Reflecting on our love

It's been the best thing ever!

From the beginning, we knew we were meant for each other. Through the ups and downs of life, our love, like a rock, has stood firm for us, teaching us to always reflect and keep learning about ourselves and each other, and consequently, continually making us better for each other. Being with each other is the best thing that has happened to us. But we give all glory to God, as we keep striving to build our relationship with Him, which has been most helpful, since true love is both a gift of God and an act of the will.
