It was the first day of the spring semester in 2015. I went to go sit with my friends in a common area on campus and this guy who was where they were laid down across the couch chairs and asked if he could see my glasses because he thought they were nice. With encouragement from mutual friends, we started dating, not too long after that he asked me to be his girlfriend on Feb. 16, 2015; only 2 days after sharing our first kiss. The rest is history!

Carlos has always known how much family has meant to me, with my sisters wedding after the holidays and my birthday coming up he took the chance. On Christmas Eve during our usual family celebration, he asked me to marry him assuring that he had all the blessings from everyone in the family. Although I knew it was coming, I still cried and through happy tears I said YES! Best Christmas/Birthday present ever!
