Steve and I started talking in October during our friend day at church. Prior to that, I had noticed him looking at me. I thought he was good looking and I would stare back. But I should start at the beginning. In July of the same year I had a dream about him. In my dream, he was asking me to go on a date with him. I told him I could not because Adelies was not doing well. He replied with,”it’s ok sweetheart you are going to marry me”. I remember waking up from my dream feeling shocked and thinking who was that man, I have seen him somewhere! Then I realized it was Steve the parking lot guy. I never told anyone about my dream accept Adelies and she would always tease me as we were driving into the parking lot. Then I remembered that Nicole, three years prior to my dream had told me that she knew who my husband was and that he was at Lifeway. At that time I was broken and sad and was not thinking about a new relationship. I forgot all about what she had told me. After I had that dream I asked her who she was talking about and she said Steve. Little did I know, Steve and his Life group had already been praying for “us”. He told them he liked a girl at the church and they were praying for us to meet and talk. I remember one day as I was serving with Roger Cox, he told me that Steve was a wonderful man. I didn’t know why he was telling me that until I started talking to Steve and he told me that Roger had been praying for us. It was Sal that encouraged Steve to talk to me and Steve he did. He invited me to coffee. Which we went on a Friday night. We had such a great time. We laughed and we talked and talked. Time flew by so fast neither one of us wanted to leave. That night he knew he didn’t want to be apart from me. He called his son and told him that he was going to marry me. I also felt very comfortable and peaceful around him and wondered what it would be like that to be his wife one day. Here we are now wanting all of you to be part of our love story.
