Gloria and Osvaldo will argue about the first time they met, however; they were friends for some time before they started dating. Osvaldo remembers the day during Memorial Day weekend in 2012 when Gloria caught his eye and he knew he wanted to be more than just friends. From that moment on, Gloria and Osvaldo built on their foundation of friendship and their relationship grew to become one of romance, and the rest is history.
Before the proposal, Gloria and Osvaldo lived in Westchester, NY and strengthened their relationship through their local church at Immaculate Conception in Tuckahoe. This church became a staple in their relationship as it helped them grow together spiritually and emotionally. After they moved back to Long Island, they were unable to attend mass regularly, but would always attempt to return for the Easter Vigil. On Easter Saturday in 2019, Osvaldo felt the Easter Vigil at Immaculate Conception would be the perfect time and place to propose, in the presence of God, their daughter, Olivia, and their families, because Westchester and this church will always have a special place in their hearts as it's where they grew with one another spiritually and started their family. After the immediate shock and surprise of the proposal, Gloria said YES! They are excited to cruise into their futures as husband and wife and continue to create memories with one another that will last a lifetime. #CruznIntoTheFuture
