Our Love Story

Our love story has never been defined by grand gestures or perfect timing, but by the life we've intentionally built together. What started as an easy friendship grew into a partnership rooted in trust, laughter, and shared experiences. Over the years, we've grown through new experiences, celebrated milestones, navigated challenges, and learned what partnership truly means. Every chapter from how we met to the adventures we've shared, the home we've created, and the future we're planning has strengthened our relationship and shaped the life we're excited to continue building together. The stories that follow capture the moments, values, and memories that have made us who we are today.

How we met

We met at work. There wasn’t a dramatic love story or an instant spark we simply started talking. He was (and still is) talkative and somehow seemed to know everyone. I tend to be a little more reserved and have never been into cheesy, romantic moments. We just naturally went with the flow, and before we knew it, we had become an important part of each other’s lives.

Growing Together

Some of our favorite memories were made traveling together, our first trip to Canada was very memorable. It gave us time to know each other and grow closer. It also confirmed that he was definitely not prepared for cold weather. He showed up with a thin jacket and leather shoes… who does that? A true city guy. As our relationship grew, so did we. Moving in together taught us how to adapt, support one another, and navigate adulthood together. We learned how to build a life, work hard, and create stability for ourselves. Then we adopted our dog, who quickly taught us about responsibility, discipline, and the reality of additional expenses especially vet bills.

Family, Values & Our Next Chapter

The proposal was unexpected and a little weird in the best way, which honestly fits us perfectly. We’ve been engaged for six years and are the first in our families to get engaged and the first to get married. People ask if we’re excited to get married. The joke answer is, “For tax purposes.” But the real answer is that we’re excited to build a strong foundation for our future family. Along the way, we’ve celebrated many milestones together, including growing professionally and purchasing our home. Marriage feels like the next chapter of the life we’ve been building side by side all along. That future is shaped by the families who raised us. We were both fortunate to grow up with strong parents who instilled in us the values of hard work, resilience, and commitment. While they don't always agree with our choices or perspectives, we've come to appreciate that their guidance comes from a place of love. They want us to be prepared for life's challenges while reminding us that they'll always be there to support us. As we begin building a family of our own, we hope to carry those same values forward while creating traditions and a home that reflect who we are together.
