We’re getting married!

Anyone who knows us already knows this story, but we'll tell it again for fun! We were both in less than perfect relationships at the time and were introduced by our respective partners in 2019. A few months later, now single, we ended up sitting next to each other at our neighborhood bar where we laughed for hours about our poor decisions. Many games of pool were played, and lost (by Nick). The rest is history!

It was our one year anniversary and we planned to go to Coronado Island to celebrate with a bottle of champagne. I remember Nick jumped out of bed that morning with an extra pep in his step. I thought he was excited to go to the beach! When we got to Coronado we rented bikes and cruised over to Hotel Del. We sat at a table in the sand drinking champagme and taking pictures because it was such a beautiful day. After a while we noticed a sand castle, so we walked over to it and saw that it had the date carved into it. I thought that was so perfect since it was our anniversary! We chatted with the sand artist and asked him to take a photo of us in front of the castle. Little did I know Nick had his phone on video mode. As I was attempting to perfect my pose, Nick got on one knee, told me he couldnt wait to spend the rest of his life with me, and asked me to be his wife. I asked him if he was kidding (he wasnt), then we kissed and hugged and I said “yes”!
