Things To Do

Here are a handful of our favorite spots to recommend to folks visiting Kansas City.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

4525 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64111

This is a Kansas City classic, free entry and hours of art to enjoy! Also a great spot for a walk around the grounds outside, and close to the venue! Admission is free, always a bonus!

National WWI Museum and Memorial

2 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO 64108

Powerful exhibits and a beautiful view of downtown Kansas City from the iconic Liberty Memorial. This museum is uniquely designated by Congress as the country's primary site for preserving the history of the Great War.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

1616 East 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108

Located in Kansas City's historic Jazz District at 18th and Vine, the NLBM is a must-visit; the world's only museum dedicated to this league.

American Jazz Museum

1616 East 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108

Located next to the NLBM, the jazz museum pays homage to the roots of jazz music in Kansas City and the US at large.

Kansas City Barbecue

There is no shortage of top-tier barbecue in Kansas City. The referenced link is a good starting point to explore options. We are excited to be serving Joe's KC BBQ at our reception (formerly known as "Oklahoma Joe's," the famed original gas station location is just down the street from our home).
