How we Met: Laura and David met on January 29th, 2020, and their first date was fitting… Axe throwing. David found Laura on Hinge and he loved how she mentioned in her profile that she was a “hobby jumper.” Read below to hear their individual accounts of this historic date. From Laura: I was immediately drawn to David's energy and his contagious smile. He carried this excitement and positive energy that I couldn't get enough of. I immediately felt comfortable in his presence, and sharing stories with him was so fun I didn't ever want it to end. We both realized on the first date that we were obsessed with activities, and fortunately my competitive side didn't scare him away. We started with axe throwing, moved on to ping pong, and ended our first date with a walk on the beach. It makes me smile thinking about that day and all the days in between. David is my best friend, adventure partner, and the love of my life. From David: Immediately when Laura and I met, I was struck by how funny and fun she was. I instantly felt so comfortable, and I couldn’t get enough of her authenticity. I could tell immediately she was so smart and had an unstoppable passion for life. Our first date was axe throwing and I thought it was going well until she asked, “Do we have to stay for the whole hour?” 😅 We snuck away to the bar next door where she told me she played ultimate frisbee on the weekends with her coworkers, we found out that her company was a client of my company, and that we share the same love languages: physical touch and quality time. Laura then had a quality time kicking my butt in ping pong. Afterwards, we took a romantic walk on the beach where we miiiight have shared our amazing first kiss. ❤️🎆On every date since, I’ve become more and more in love with Laura. I can’t believe I get to marry a woman this smart and this kind. I can’t wait to live the rest of my life with you. Fast forward 3+ incredible years and we are embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. We are SO excited to share our wedding day with you! Thank you for being a part of our journey.
