Once upon a time in a land far, far away… Well, maybe not that far—just Loveland, OH. While it may not sound like the stuff of fairy tales, our story began much like many modern romances do: online. In a world of swipes, we both managed to swipe right—though just barely. You’ll have to ask Stephanie for her side of that close call. It was September 2023 when we started chatting, our conversations laced with cautious curiosity. Glenn has two younger kids, Stephanie has three older and three dogs. Really? Who has three dogs, that must be a mistake! Busy schedules kept us on our toes—Glenn was traveling nearly every week for work, and Stephanie was constantly on the move with club volleyball. Despite the limited availability, each message made us more eager to connect. Somewhere amid the flurry of travel, we added each other on Facebook—because, let’s face it, as busy adults in a post-Covid world, that’s just how things go. That’s when we discovered an unexpected connection: Glenn’s neighbor, who worked closely with Stephanie. It turns out Stephanie had even read posts featuring Glenn before. This mutual friend helped bridge the gap, building trust and giving Stephanie the nudge she needed. Finally, one late Friday night—just hours before Stephanie was set to leave town and right after Glenn had landed—we decided to meet and say hello. It was a fleeting moment, but it marked the true beginning of our story. Looking back, it’s both funny and wonderful how fate—and a mutual friend—brought us together. The relationship continued to grow, filled with laughter and shared experiences, and here we are.
