One of our favorite travel memories is wandering through the French Quarter in New Orleans—live jazz floating through the air, the smell of fresh beignets, and the feeling that every street has a story. It’s a place that captured our hearts with its charm, culture, and energy, and we can’t wait to have you explore the city through our eyes. Here are a few places to add to your list: -Jackson Square -St Louis Cathedral: Fun fact - we toured this church as an option for the ceremony! -Royal Street: Home to eclectic art and good vibes -Bourbon Street: Bourbon Street essentials: grab a Hand Grenade, try a Hurricane at Pat O’Brien’s, and maybe a frozen daiquiri if you're bold. For something classic, go with a Sazerac or Vieux Carré—strong, no-frills, and very New Orleans.
Beautiful historic homes, oak-lined streets, and a very different vibe from the French Quarter. Recommend a streetcar ride down St. Charles Avenue.
Experience live music on Frenchman Street. Just walk a block and you’ll hear everything from brass to blues pouring out of every door.
