Daniel: It was a usual Saturday night at Burger Bar in Asheville, NC. Karaoke was rocking, theatre kids abounded. Glenna: I was coming from Cat & Grace’s wedding, where we’d already been getting respectably rowdy and singing karaoke. Since the wedding venue was done for the night, we figured we’d keep the party going at Burger Bar. Daniel: Alex reached out to me, saying I should come out for the night. I had just gotten off work, and figured it could be a fun time. I wasn't in the mood to go crazy, and was going to hang out for an hour or so. I got there and joined Alex and Lauren at one of the picnic tables, where Glenna was there in a deep conversation with Lauren. Glenna: I have no idea what it was about, but I do remember that it was highly absorbing and we were doing a lot of heartfelt hand holding across the table. Daniel: We were introduced, and conversations went back to where they were. A little later Glenna looked at me and said: Hey, you're really cute. I said, so are you. A bit of back and forth, and we were in a conversation for real. That conversation caught both of our attentions. We spent the rest of the night at the bar hanging out with our friends, but we made sure to get each others number before we left. And we stayed up till about 4 in the morning texting about each others cats. And the rest is history.
