Flight
The New York area’s three airports are all good options for getting into town. Newark and JFK are a bit farther out but have train and subway connections to Manhattan. LaGuardia is closer, but you’ll have to take a short cab ride in. Yellow cabs or Lyfts from these airports can run anywhere from $50 to $90 depending on traffic. There are also many local car services—Gleni likes Jupiter Car Service (jupitercarservice.com)—who offer reasonable flat rates if you book a pickup in advance.

We’ve compiled a list of a few Airbnbs. Some listings might say they are unavailable due to stay minimums or other details, so be sure to check those out just in case. We'll be checking periodically to remove listings that have been booked or to add any new ones we find. The stays located in Greenpoint should be walkable to the venue. Others will be a short cab ride. When looking elsewhere, we recommend the following neighborhoods. They're convenient to get to the Greenpoint Loft via the subway or a cab and are all great areas of the city. If you need help or want us to check a listing you're considering, please contact us! MANHATTAN: Midtown (west or near Grand Central), Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, Union Square, West or East Village BROOKLYN: Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, DUMBO, Clinton Hill, Wililamsburg, Greenpoint, Park Slope QUEENS: Long Island City, Sunnyside

Rental Car
If you need to drive, consider parking at a suburban train station (NJ Transit or Metro-North—see the bottom of the page) and taking a local train into the city. Driving and parking in NYC is not recommended for those who haven't done it before. There isn't any parking available at the Greenpoint Loft. You'll need to find on-street parking or pay to park at MPG Parking located at 21 India Street, which is open 24 hours.
Train
The Greenpoint Loft is a 5-minute walk from the Greenpoint Avenue stop on the G line. The G connects Long Island City and Downtown Brooklyn. Though it doesn’t connect to Manhattan, you can easily transfer to it from the A, C, E, F, L, and 7 lines.
Train
If you're driving in from the south or west, consider parking at a New Jersey Transit station and taking a New Jersey Transit train into Penn Station. The Edison station is a good option (right off the Turnpike), but others may be more convenient for you. If you're coming in Friday, parking will cost about $10-15, and a round-trip train fare will cost about $25 for an hour's train ride in each direction. More information on parking at various stations is at https://www.njtransit.com/station-park-ride-to but please contact us if you need any help!
Train
Metro-North is the commuter railroad serving the northern New York suburbs. If you're driving from the north or northeast, consider parking at a Metro-North station in Putnam or Westchester Counties and taking a Metro-North train into Grand Central Terminal. North White Plains is a good option, but others may be better for you. If you're coming in Friday, parking will cost about $10, and a round-trip train fare will cost $20 for an hour's train ride in each direction. More information on train station parking is at web.mta.info/mnr/html/parking.htm but please contact us if you need any help!
