How we met

Cesar & Glenda's Love Journey

Glenda: Cesar and I have known each other since we were little. We grew up in a Christian church up until our teenage life. As life would have it, we each went different ways as teens and did our lives as best we could. Twenty plus years later we reconnected again. We became good friends and got to know each other better. We shared our lives experiences from childhood to our past relationships, our families, and children. Eventually our friendship grew more and more. We began dating, taking walks, hiking, going to church, and many other things Cesar broke out of me. Cesar showed me what would be a new beginning in my life. I grew confident in myself, learned to do more in life and that taking chances was okay. He taught me to stand up for myself. He’s brought out the adventurer I never was. He’s supported my decisions every step of the way. Because of it I finished and graduated college. My love for him has grown stronger than I ever knew. Now, after living with him for 8 years+, he finally got on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the simplest way but in the right setting. It was, after all, Cesar’s way, atop a hill, playing a Marc Anthony song while overlooking the Sea of Cortez in Cabo San Lucas on a summer day. I couldn’t be more surprised. I was speechless and deaf in both ears because I didn’t hear anything he said until he asked, “Will you marry me?” 😊. We have shared so much joy, tears, dances, and out of tune songs I cannot wait to see what more craziness and out of our comfort zone we will be getting into together in the years to come as a married couple. Nor cannot wait to see his face as I’m walking down the aisle 😊. Cesar: It was 9 years ago during my birthday when I got a random greeting from the woman I love and cherish today. The one plan on spending the rest of my life with and enjoy every moment I can for as long as I can. Glenda Marina has not only made me a better person but has kept me strong and moving forward. Our conversations were simple, honest, and at times funny. We both realized where we were during that time and with each other’s comfort and understanding that love began to grow. I continue to love our moments together and explore places with her. That will not stop because we both love to travel. At the end of it all she has been my best birthday gift ever since. I thank God for putting her in my path and blessing her for who she is. I love you G.
