James and Rachel were not so lucky in love, but everything changed once the new year rang in 2017. When the Super Bowl called for a party, James had an idea. A very good idea at that. He would end his loneliness and seek out a beautiful girl. He invited friends and one very important girl with the help of those friends. As he set up his dorm for the party, James made sure everything was in its place and set up perfectly. Although James loves sports, he couldn't really focus on the TV that night. It was pretty obvious to everyone that he really thought something special of Rachel. So, he tried to talk to her all night and get her to come out of her shy shell. Now, Rachel, on the other hand, didn't know exactly what to think of James. She did, however, like the attention he gave her. And, she did like how great he looked. She had a feeling that she was going to meet someone special that night. There was something about him that she just couldn't get out of her mind. She definitely wanted to get to know him more, but she did not want and did not know how to put herself out there too much. Even though they both had some nerves, they both knew they wanted to take a chance on each other. The longer they were together, the more they began to enjoy each others company. They learned the little things and some of the big things about each other. James and Rachel worked through difficult times and great times. They worked through a long distance relationship, and couldn't handle the distance anymore. This is when they decided to end their dating relationship completely and move on to greater and better things for themselves like getting married. So, with their dating relationship in the dirt, they have decided to learn more about how to live life as a team rather than living life separately. We are happy to be sharing this joyous time in our lives with our family and friends. This is not just the end of a point in our lives, it is the beginning of a long future together!
Throughout their dating history, James and Rachel had talked about the possibility of marriage. The longer they were together the more they realized they had very similar interests and goals. When their two year anniversary was coming up, they went on a trip to Israel with Rachel's family. James knew he had to take the opportunity that was coming towards him. He kept asking his friends and family if he should actually take the opportunity to ask Rachel the big question. At the very end of their trip, they went to an ancient site right beside the Mediterranean Sea. Rachel was really excited to be by the sea and to see the site she knew when she was young, so she led James to her favorite spot by the sea. James had followed her, and he was acting very strange. Rachel, of course, should have guessed what he was up to, but she was taken completely by surprise when he begun to say how he was in love with her and wanted to make it forever. He got down on one knee surrounded by ancient mosaics and crashing waves. James asked the question, and Rachel smiled largely and said yes!
