Gladstone- How I remember we meet on a cold night in January at a social club Nomescos in Worcester. I couldn’t believe the music they were playing, I decided to go in and check out the place. There was this gorgeous bartender and immediately fell in love… Amaryllis- No, he didn’t immediately fall in love. It was my last night working at Nomescos and I walked in, I noticed Gladstone at the bar. It was a typical night and offered him something to drink. Gladstone- Yes, right. I could hear T-Pain featuring Akon in the background “I like the Ba-arr-tender…yea if your looking for meeee”. But it was 112 song “Peaches and Cream” that brought Gladstone into the establishment. Amaryllis- I had a feeling Gladstone wasn’t from the area, so I inquired “Where are you from?” He responded that he was from North Carolina. Gladstone- And the rest was history…..
Mexico was an extremely fascinating experience, it could only be topped with a”Yes!!!” Nervous to set the mood, I calmly ask the maître d’ to set up a proposal for my girlfriend. A dedicated chef came to the maître d’‘s desk to ask how he can help facilitate the engagement a surprise for my Amarillys. The chef said that he would send the ring out in a chocolate culinary masterpiece. I was reluctant to give him the ring since I don’t know where he was going to take it but it was worth it. I returned to my seat and 20 minutes later I can hear the pianist was playing Alicia Keys “No one”. The waiter brought out the dessert chocolate shaped dome with the ring placed inside of it, I had Amarillys open the dome to find the ring. I took the ring from her bent on my knees to propose. She said yes!!!! And the rest will be our future….
