The story begins where I met D'Andra back in August of 2004 at The Tuskegee University. We were members of the Marching Crimson Pipers Band when we found out that we were both from Birmingham. We clicked! Our friendship withstood the distance and the test time, despite the fact that I had left Skegee and came back home the following year. We kept up with each other and we witnessed each other endure our darkest moments. Dee has always been so selfless, supportive, and kind to me! Her existence has been so profound in my world! It's been a beautiful journey having her as a friend and as a sister! I am honored and thrilled to have witnessed, in person, the love that has blossomed between D'Andra & Marcus. I am even more ecstatic to stand beside her as she says, "I do"!

D'Andra and I met freshman year during band camp at Tuskegee and have been stuck like glue ever since. Despite originating from two different states (Illinois & Alabama) and living over 600 miles away from each other, we have been able to keep our bond going strong for 16yrs and counting. I am honored to be a part of such a joyous occasion as well as be a witness to a new milestone for both you and Marcus.

As far as how we met.. dont remember that far back.. to many shots later😂.. im sure it was in grade school. Bit one of my first memories is just coming over to your apts when you lived near chalkville elementary us just hangin out watchin the teams play at the ballpark and going to the jet pep to buy sodas.. nothing special about it but we thought we were so cool

I met this man as a very established 6 year old when we were in first grade. Being that we were already advanced for our age we decided to venture outside the playground to go play in the "scary" woods that were off limits and forever ride or die. Coming up we were team mates-back yard football, band mates and even roommates. Thats when we found out we were brothers. If you can live with a man that long and not want to strangle him you know you've found a true friend/brother for life.

D’Andra is my second cousin. Me and her younger sister was close in age so we grew up close. I would say I was the little sister too lol. I can’t help but to think about how I always hoped for this day for her and I’m more than honored that she allowed me to be apart of her special day!

D’Andra and I met in 1989 when I was born lol. She is my 2nd cousin on my mom’s side. When I met Marcus I would joke with her about marrying him, but I was serious at the same time. She has always been there for me throughout the years no matter what the occasion was...She stood beside me on my special day so it’s my honor to stand be hers on her special day...I pray that her and Marcus will have many years of love and happiness

Soooo here is the 411 on Marcus! I’m his twin sister and I’ve known him ALL of my life! He gets on my everlasting nerves BUT I love him to death! I’ve known D’Andra for about 11 years. We first met when I worked at DHR and she worked at Gateway-those days were no joke! We had several cases together. She was very laid back and chill. Me, I was ready at several moments to throw in the towel. She never complained, aloud, lol. Although we didn’t talk much outside of work, I knew she had a great spirit. Can I just say I remember when my brother asked me about you and my words were “She’s sweet and I like her! If you hurt my friend, I’m going to kick your a$$!!” I love you two together!! #HeySis

I laugh when I say that I have probaby been my sister, D'Andra's biggest headache since 1993; but even despite all that, I can not even begin to fully describe how much of an amazing, supportive sister D'Andra has been to me my entire life. I acknowledge and thank her for all she's ever done for me. I am excited and happy I am here to witness as D’Andra and Marcus begin to embark on this beautiful journey ahead. Marcus and I met at the beach during mullet toss in 2013. From randomly ending up at dinner with some of his friends, to playing kickball, to house parties, birthday trips, cook outs, guys nights, a close friendship had developed within a blink of an eye. Meaningful conversations, asking for advice, or just a call that would end up of nothing but laughter, i knew right away our friendship was special. Even though we’ve only known each other for about 7 years, it feels more like 20. Thankful and blessed to be a part of a wonderful and special day for the both of you.
