We 110% understand that things and decisions for what feels safe and right for each person in any given moment is as fluid as ever. And so if the week or day before the decision to come in person no longer feels right we totally get that and want everyone to do what feels best for them. Thank you for filling out the RSVP form to help us plan and for being in touch with us as things evolve for you.
Stinson Beach is a very small town and everything is within walking distance from each other. There is one main road through town, and the distance from one end of town to the other is 0.3 miles. From Willow Camp (and the public parking lot) to the Community Center and Sandharbor Inn (hotel option) is 0.1 miles.
The 10 parking spots at the Community Center will be reserved for those who are driving from out of town. The free public parking lot near the beach is a perfect spot for everyone else to park, as it’s 0.1 miles from Willow Camp and the Community Center.
The Ceremony and Reception recommended attire is fancy garden cocktail. Think nice slacks, your favorite dress, and whatever brings you the most joy to dress up in. Suits, ties, sequins, sparkles: these are all things that inspire us when we think about what we'd be wearing if we weren't in a wedding gown & tux. Feb weather in Stinson Beach is usually low-mid 60s. Check the forecast before you leave to plan appropriately. Be sure to bring layers and a jacket, as temps change throughout the day. Bring adventure clothes and a swimsuit for any activities you want to do before the ceremony! (See activity tab for ideas :)
Stinson Beach is a little over an hour drive from both the San Francisco and Oakland airports. If coming from out of town, we highly recommend staying in Stinson Beach if possible, as the road over the mountains to the town is very windy with lots of cliffs. Note that there is usually traffic getting over Mt. Tam to Stinson Beach on nice weekends, so be sure to check google maps for the estimated travel time.
Health safety remains a top priority. We're excited to live stream the ceremony for many of our loved ones to ensure the safest option to celebrate. For those attending in person, we're asking folks be up-to-date with their vaccines and boosters if they're eligible. We're also monitoring CA & Marin County guidelines as they evolve. As of 2/1/22: • While indoor private gatherings do not require masks if vaccination status or negative tests are confirmed, we are requesting masks be worn by guests inside the ceremony chapel. Throughout the weekend we'll be doing as much as we can outside and in well ventilated areas and are grateful the weather looks like it will lend itself to lots of good outside time. • Marin County guidelines: https://coronavirus.marinhhs.org/masks • CA State guidelines: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/Guidance.aspx
