In this story, there are no wishing wells, fairy godmothers, glass slippers, or magic carpets. There was, though, a beautiful castle, which would soon become the backdrop to a modern day fairytale. Gizelle and Christian met while working at Disneyland. Although less magical, it has become one of the most important parts of their story. It started with awkward first conversations behind a churro cart. Gizelle tried to break the ice with jokes, to which Christian responded with only a few short chuckles (Gizelle's still bitter that he didn't laugh at her hilarity). Even after a rocky start, they quickly became good friends and inseparable at work, always with the same group of mutual friends. Then came the weekly shift changes so that they could work together, going out for tacos or a movie after work until the wee hours of the morning, lots of denying any feelings, and finally Christian capturing Gizelle's heart. On March 23, 2017, the two officially agreed they would take on the world together, and the rest is history. Through all the joys, hardships, celebrations, travels, new careers, and everything else life has thrown, they have done it together. They are so excited to embark on this next chapter of their story, as husband and wife. With what started with Disney, ends the same way... they live happily ever after.
