Dress Code Inspiration^
Question

What's the ceremony/reception dress code?

Answer

Elevated bohemian: think cocktail...but bohemian. Florals, paisleys, patterns, textures, corduroys, and moody colors. Bridesmaids will be wearing assortments of the olive variety... feel free to wear traditional cocktail attire as well! Want some inspiration? Check out the vision board above, or contact Haley (6783341302)!

Question

Will the wedding be fun?

Answer

Duh

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then, yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What is the weather like in Fort Collins, CO in November?

Answer

Colorado weather is normally unpredictable... we would recommend always checking in the days leading up! Minimal chance of rain (or snow). Historically on 11/4- high temperatures of 2019: 50 degrees; 2020: 80 degrees; 2021: 60 degrees... I know...super helpful. I'd probably plan on 50-60*, if it's sunny, it'll feel really nice; if it's cloudy, it may feel a little chilly. We’d recommend a jacket.

Question

Do I need a car to get around Fort Collins?

Answer

Short answer: no.... You can order a Groome shuttle from the airport (DIA) to downtown Fort Collins for ~$35pp/way. They are super reliable, check out the travel and accommodations page for more details. Ubers/Lifts to/from the airport to FoCo run ~$90 each way, but they typically fit 4-5 people. If you're staying in/near Old Town, everywhere is walkable (or bikeable 😉) ! Tons of restaurants, breweries, stores, for everything. The venue is also only ~20 min from town center. We will have a shuttle leaving from the Armstrong Hotel (downtown room block) and the Hilton Hotel (on Prospect Rd) to shuttle guests to/from hotel. Shuttles depart promptly at 3:20; for The Armstrong, meet it the brick alleyway behind the hotel under a brown fan awning looking thing, or ask the front desk for help. If you plan to do anything with your weekend outside of the wedding AND Fort Collins (ex: visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder, Wyoming, etc), then you'll likely need to rent a car, but totally up to you!

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

If you arrive the night before, join us for a happy hour at The Forge for drinks on us! Check out the Schedule page for more details on this.

Question

What if I RSVP'd, but I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. If you are unable to change your RSVP, please just text/call/email us!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We will have a shuttle leaving from the Armstrong Hotel (downtown room block) and the Hilton Hotel (on Prospect Rd) to shuttle guests to/from hotel. Shuttles leave promptly at 3:20pm. For The Armstrong, meet it the brick alleyway behind the hotel under a brown fan awning looking thing, or ask the front desk for help. Anyone attending the wedding is welcome to jump on the shuttles. You could also schedule a lyft/uber. The ceremony and reception will be at Hillside Vineyard on Bingham Road.

Question

Where should I park for the venues?

Answer

Happy Hour on 11/3: Downtown Fort Collins parking is free, unless noted otherwise. The Forge is in an alleyway that you will not be able to park directly in front of... the best areas to try and find a close spot would be near the Exchange or Illegal Petes. Ceremony and Reception on 11/4: Free parking is available at the back of the Hillside Vineyard road turn off. Blendings Wine Room is the first lot, but continue past that building on your right, and through the gated area. There will be signs!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Definitely! There will also be a cocktail hour, in the same location, between the ceremony and reception.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Apps and beer/wine will be served at the cocktail hour. Dinner and beer/wine will be served at the reception.

Question

Will there be any vegan/ vegetarian / gluten free/ special diet options?

Answer

If you have special dietary needs (or allergens), please let us know ahead of time when you rsvp and we will try our best to accommodate. Dairy and glute free options will be on the main buffet line.

Question

Will the ceremony/ reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour (temperature dependent) will be outdoors and mostly in a grassy area. Guests will also have access to the reception hall during the cocktail hour. The reception will be indoors. All events will be moved inside should the weather not be in our favor.

Question

Can you give any food/ drink suggestions in town?

Answer

Food we love: $: Road 34, Illegal Petes, Union Bar & Soda, Food in the Exchange (La Piadina, Vatos), DGT, Pickle Barrel (check hours ahead of time). $$: Blue Agave (little bit of everything), Crown Pub, Regional, 415, Tasty Harmony (vegetarian), Ginger and Baker, The Rio, Penrose $$$: Rare Italian, The Still Whiskey Steaks, Little on Mountain Breakfast specific: Silver Grill (have to get a cinnamon roll) or Lucille's... arrive to either establishment pretty early to avoid waiting Drinks we love: Odell Brewing Co, Equinox Brewing, CopperMuse Distillery, New Belgium Brewing, The Forge, Road 34 (dive, but cool), Wolverine Farms (also a book shop), and Stodgy Brewing

Question

Will I need my ID at the wedding?

Answer

Colorado law requires all licensed bar tenders to ID EVERYONE, so please do not be alarmed if the bar tender at the reception and welcome party ID you and please come prepared!
