We all know Starbucks, but you are going to be in the city where it all started. Skip the “first Starbucks” it’s crowded and a fake. Come to the reserve, try specialty drinks and coffee cocktails! This is a warm cozy and fun environment located in the heart of capitol hill, which is also a fun area to explore.
If you have time and want to do something more active on a weekday this is an especially great Seattle hike. Located off the I-90 it is just a short hop from Seattle with and incredible view. grab your hiking boots/running shoes, a water bottle, and go on a weekday to miss the Seattle crowd.
There are a number of spectacular beaches around Seattle: Alki Beach - Seattle’s premier beach located in West Seattle, home to the bride and groom. Little shops and restaurants line the coast. Stop in at pepperdocks for ice cream, or marination for tacos! Rent bikes or kayaks for an extra treat. Golden Gardens - located in Ballard, one of the most popular neighborhoods in Seattle. See the mountains and look for sea lions in the harbor. This place fills up at night to light up the coast with beach bonfires. Carkeek Park - located just off greenwood, and the Grooms favorite place in Seattle. Watch the trains go by and see one of the most expansive sea to mountain views, and the largest beach in Seattle. Gas Works Park - site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company, this park is located at the north side of Lake Union in Seattle and offers a beautiful view of Seattle. Also this is the location of the famous paintball fight from the movie “10 Things I Hate About You”.
