Berryville, Virginia is about one hour away from Washington, D.C. Below are some of our favorite things to do in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area in case you want to extend your stay.

Do the typical DC tourist thing and see the monuments! The National Mall is gorgeous during October, we recommend seeing a few museums and relaxing on the lawn or taking an electric scooter around the reflecting pool!

Washington Monument

One of the best (and biggest) museums in DC.

Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

This was both Gisela's and Matthew's favorite museum as children.

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Go see where they got engaged! Bonus: the Old Post Office tower here is the second-highest view of the entire city (second only to the Washington Monument).

Visit the Shenandoah National Park for amazing hiking trails if you're looking for a physical activity!

This is Gisela & Matthew's go-to spot for a night of dancing. You can usually find them playing great Spanish music on the top floor. Tip: Go bar hopping on 14th ST to get warmed up!
