What is the attire for the Wedding?

Answer

The wedding is Black tie dress code. However, colors are encouraged. Please stay away from Black, Royal Blue and Gold, as these are the wedding colors. Black tie means gowns, suits, shoes. No casual clothing, No sneakers unless needed for medical reasons.

How are the hotel rooms?

Answer

-Hotels are European standard size. -Not all hotels have air conditioning. Please research your hotel prior to booking - locals advised that 4 and 5 star hotels usual have air conditioning -You will need a mattress pad. The beds are hard by American standards -Wash cloths are not provided -these are an American concept, you will need to bring your own

Will my phone work while in Italy?

Answer

Yes, your phone will work. However, your reception will be spotty and you will have to deal with roaming charges. It has been advised by locals to get a SIM card in country, can be gotten at the airport, and use that instead of your American one. Cost is between 10 - 30 euro

Will my charger work in country?

Answer

No, your normal charger will not work. You will need to get a power adapter attachment to plug in and use your charger with. Power adapters can be found on Amazon

Are cell phones allowed at the Wedding?

Answer

There will be time given, and announced for guests to take photos or video during the Ceremony. However, the couple asks that you please keep them out of sight at all other times as they do not want cameras in their photos or videos. Cell phones are welcomed after the ceremony has ended. There will be a QR code to share photos after the event.

What is the weather like?

Answer

During the day, the weather is a normal spring day. Warm, with a nice healthy breeze. Not overly hot due to breeze that is constant. At night, the heat leaves with the sun. The area does not hold heat. You will need a shawl/jacket/blazer for the night time.

Can I drive in Country?

Answer

Yes, you can rent a car for the remainder of your trip. They drive on the same side of the road and the cars have the driver side on the same side as ours. You should become familiar with km/hr. Also, do your research for an International Drivers license. However, for safety the venue and the couple have prohibited driving to and from the venue. Transportation will be provided from the hotel block and arranged for leaving the venue at the end of the event.

Is Cannabis available?

Answer

Yes, in Rome there are dispensaries. They offer the usual selection of flower, edibles, vapes, etc. Some of the strains are familiar. You can find the dispensaries online. However, it is not what we are used to by American standards. They have cannabis lite, a much lower THC value than we are accustomed to.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Answer

Yes, you are allowed to smoke both tobacco and cannabis at the venue. You are ONLY allowed to smoke on the open air terraces. Do Not Smoke In the Rooms or Inside the Palace At Anytime!!!!

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

This is a CHILD FREE wedding. The only minors allowed to be in attendance are the children of the couple.

Are there take away/doggy bags?

Answer

Yes, take away/doggy bags are available. However, there are no microwaves in the hotel rooms. Italians prefer to eat their food fresh. Also, American style Italian food is different from Authentic Italian style food. Some familiar dishes will have a slightly different taste. The food is still delicious and filling.

Bring Good Walking Shoes

Answer

Although most European cities are very walkable, they are ancient. Meaning, most places still have their historical cobblestone walkways and they are built to mold to the land, so there are a lot of hills. Please pack a good pair of sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.
