Giselle and Luis met in high school, where Luis made the first move early spring of 2019. What began as a young relationship steadily grew into a meaningful and lasting partnership as they matured together. They recognized the depth of their commitment during Luis’s army basic training. With only five-minute phone calls each week, they learned the value of patience, intentional communication, even writing letters back and forth patiently waiting for each other. After nine long months of waiting, they both stepped into the beginning of their careers and officially moved in together, marking a significant new chapter in their commitment. It was then that they both understood their relationship was built on a strong and enduring foundation. Their bond continued to strengthen when Luis was later deployed to Poland for a year. Despite the distance, they remained steadfast in their commitment to one another. During that time, they created lasting memories through travel and shared experiences. One of those experiences became the beginning of their engagement. While visiting Lake Como, Italy, after touring Villa del Balbianello, Giselle believed they were simply taking photos on a dock. Instead, Luis surprised her with a proposal in one of the most beautiful settings they had ever visited. She happily said yes. Giselle and Luis value the adventures they share and the joy they find in building a life together. They look forward to beginning this next chapter surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends.
