We met over a decade ago through mutual friends. We were both in relationships back in High School and never paid each other any mind. Over the years, we continued to see each other at birthday parties, sporting events, and even followed one another on social media. We knew each other's names and faces, but that was the extent of our relationship. Years went by, and those High School relationships ended. We were a little bit older and a little bit wiser. Though our paths after High School were very different, they still somehow led us to the same summer job: lifeguarding at some run-down pool in the heart of Kemp Mill. Two people who seemed to have nothing in common spent the summer making each other laugh, playing Guitar Hero, going on late-night Checker's runs, and spending all day and night on FaceTime. The only thing we did have in common was that neither of us was looking for a relationship. And yet, we were undeniably drawn to each other. Falling in love with one another was one of the easiest things we've ever done. Almost 6 years later, someone I used to pay no mind to now consumes my thoughts. We are beyond grateful for everyone who has been a part (even a small part) of our journey. Thank you to the friends who encouraged us to take a chance on each other. Thank you to our family members who have welcomed each of us with open arms. We are best friends, camping companions, chef and sous-chef (you can guess who is who), gym partners, and soul-mates. The wedding will be incredible, but mostly we're just excited to be married. We thank God for each other, because it is not by chance that we have found each other. We look forward to growing in our faith and growing closer together. With love - Gigi + Domingo
