Since our wedding is a destination event, we kindly ask that all guests RSVP by October 1st. This will allow us to finalize the details for travel and accommodations, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!
There are multiple transportation options available for guests to get from Denver International Airport. We suggest using our discounted shuttle transfer service or the Winter Park Express train,- both are mentioned with more details and links in the Travel & Accommodation section of our website. Another option is to rent a car if you feel comfortable in potential winter weather driving conditions! In this case, it's important to plan on arriving early for plenty of time to get up to the mountains.
Please book your flight to arrive on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the earliest possible time. We recommend departing on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in the afternoon or early evening. Please keep in mind that the wedding venue is approximately an hour and a half drive from the airport, so plan accordingly for travel time.
All wedding guests will be staying together at the Devil's Thumb Ranch in a special lodging area reserved just for the wedding party and guests. This will provide a private and intimate experience, as it will be exclusively for those attending the wedding. While the lodging area is private, there are nearby locations at the ranch where guests can enjoy food, shop for souvenirs, and explore various activities throughout their stay.
Check out all of the ranch activities on their website. www.devilsthumbranch.com/activity/snow-season-activities You can sign up for activities by filling out this form or reaching out to the team below. www.devilsthumbranch.com/contact/activities-zachs-mercantile ACTIVITIES CENTER – ZACH’S MERCANTILE (970) 726-8231 - activities@devilsthumbranch.com We will have more details on our weekend plans as we get closer, so please check back soon!
The dress code is Black Tie Optional. We encourage guests to dress elegantly, but feel free to opt for a formal suit or evening gown if you prefer. If weather permits, the cocktail hour will be held outdoors. Heaters and hot beverages will be provided, but please dress accordingly, as it can be quite cold in Colorado in December. The reception will be indoors, so you can warm up and enjoy the celebration in comfort. We recommend wearing warm layers for the cocktail hour and dressing to your personal style for the reception.
Yes! We will be providing transportation on the day of the wedding to take guests from the venue lodging to the church and back to the venue for the cocktail hour and reception. However, if you’ve rented a car, we encourage you to use it, as there will be limited space on the provided transportation. The church and the venue are only about 15 minutes apart, so it’s a quick and easy drive. We just want to make sure everyone has enough room and can get there comfortably!
