He was just a customer and a friend to one of the bridesmaids. I was the bartender that gave him shit for putting all his money in the slot machines. I don’t think either of us had ever thought that we would play such a big role in eachothers lives when we first met. About 8 months after we met he asked me on a date, for lunch at Shakou in St. Charles. We had fun, I tried oysters for the first time, he laughed at the faces I made and we planned on seeing each other again. The next date we had was one for the books, he took me to an interactive play called Tony&Tina’s wedding and we stayed at the Godfrey. After that, the rest is history, I met Gio a couple months later, he met the girls a couple months after that, we started traveling together, and with the kids..I got him front row seats to a Broncos game in Denver, which was our first out of state trip together and I’m pretty sure is when he fell in love with me(lol). We decided to go to a beach in Florida for my birthday the next year, and that was when we discovered our favorite place, Clearwater. We were having such a blast, making memories and going on new journeys together. Then comes 2020 when the whole world fell apart, we didn’t skip a beat. We started the year off on our first family trip to Florida, perfect timing because the world shut down the next month. We moved in together that summer, bought a house in 2021, got our first fur baby Bronco, then shortly after Luca came into the picture, and then Marshall. •I’ll never forget the business card he hid in my purse for me to find later that said “you’re beautiful, what are you doing for the rest of your life?” I don’t know if either of us actually thought we would spend forever together at that moment but it was a cute gesture in the first 6 months of us being together..it’s also still in my purse to this day• Thank you Nicole for bringing us together, without you WE would not be here now🤍
When we took a family trip to Clearwater to show the kids our favorite place in Florida the last thing i was expecting was to come home Engaged🤍 We got to Florida on a Friday night after an 18 hour drive there with the four kids and 2 dogs..the next morning we all got ready to go to honeymoon island since it was the only dog friendly beach we could go to, not to mention its beautiful there and we had been to that beach on a trip by ourselves before. When Johnny told me he had to show me something and we should walk down the beach a little bit we took the dogs and kids and started walking. He told Cailyn he was going to play a prank on me and to record it with his phone. He said ok, I need you to look this way and then spin around slowly and I'm going to prove the earth is flat..haha..as I turned around i found him down on one knee and i was in disbelief about what was happening..all he said was “this is insane, but what are you doing for the rest of your life” with a slight grin on his face. I started crying and he said “is that a yes?” I will never forget the look on his face, how nervous and excited he really was at that moment. It was perfect.
